Air Fryer Grilled Chicken

This Air Fryer Grilled Chicken is juicy, flavorful, and perfectly charred without needing a grill! Marinated in a simple yet delicious blend of spices, this chicken is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Perfect for meal prep, salads, wraps, or a main dish with your favorite sides.


Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 600g total)
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) honey (optional, for caramelization)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Marinade

  1. In a bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, salt, black pepper, paprika, Italian seasoning, onion powder, cayenne (if using), and honey.

Step 2: Marinate the Chicken

  1. Pat the chicken breasts dry and coat them evenly with the marinade.
  2. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 4 hours in the fridge) for maximum flavor.

Step 3: Air Fry the Chicken

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (400°F) for 5 minutes.
  2. Place the chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  3. Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F).

Step 4: Rest & Serve

  1. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  2. Serve with grilled veggies, rice, or a fresh salad!
