If you love warm, cinnamon-spiced apple fritters, then you’ll adore these Apple Fritter Bites! These little golden, crispy, deep-fried treats are packed with fresh apple chunks, coated in a light, fluffy batter, and drizzled with a sweet glaze.

Perfect for breakfast, dessert, or a sweet snack, these bite-sized fritters bring the comfort of a homemade bakery treat to your kitchen. Best of all, they’re quick and easy to make with simple ingredients.

Ingredients (Measured in Grams)

For the Apple Fritter Batter:

  • 200g all-purpose flour
  • 50g granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder (8g)
  • ½ teaspoon salt (3g)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (3g)
  • 120ml whole milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract (10ml)
  • 30g unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 medium apples, peeled and diced (about 250g total, use Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)

For Frying:

  • Vegetable oil (for deep frying, about 1 liter)

For the Glaze:

  • 200g powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons milk (45ml)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (5ml)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Batter

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and melted butter.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  4. Gently fold in the diced apples until evenly distributed.

Step 2: Heat the Oil

  1. In a deep pan or Dutch oven, heat the vegetable oil to 175°C (350°F). If you don’t have a thermometer, drop a small amount of batter in—the oil is ready if it sizzles and floats.

Step 3: Fry the Fritter Bites

  1. Using a spoon or cookie scoop, carefully drop small spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil.
  2. Fry in batches, turning occasionally, for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.

Step 4: Make the Glaze & Coat the Fritters

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. While the fritters are still warm, drizzle or dip them in the glaze for maximum flavor.

Step 5: Serve & Enjoy

  1. Let the glaze set for a few minutes, then serve warm and enjoy!
