Description:

If you love apple pie but want something quick, easy, and extra fun, these Apple Pie Bombs are for you! Each bite-sized delight is filled with warm, cinnamon-spiced apple filling, wrapped in golden, flaky dough, and coated in a sweet cinnamon-sugar mixture. Perfect for a cozy dessert, snack, or party treat!

Ingredients:

  • 1 (8-count) can refrigerated biscuit dough (like Pillsbury Grands)
  • 1 cup apple pie filling, diced into small pieces
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar (optional, for extra caramel flavor)
  • Caramel sauce for drizzling (optional)

Instructions:

Step 1: Prep the Ingredients

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin or baking sheet.
  2. Dice the apple pie filling into small chunks for easier filling.

Step 2: Fill & Seal the Bombs

  1. Flatten each biscuit dough piece into a round circle.
  2. Place about 1 tablespoon of apple pie filling in the center of each dough piece.
  3. Fold the edges of the dough up and pinch them together to seal, forming a ball.
  4. Place the sealed side down in the muffin tin or on a baking sheet.

Step 3: Bake to Golden Perfection

  1. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  2. While they bake, mix the sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.

Step 4: Coat & Serve

  1. Once out of the oven, brush each apple pie bomb with melted butter and roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  2. For extra indulgence, drizzle with caramel sauce or dust with powdered sugar.

Variations & Substitutions:

  • Air Fryer Method: Cook at 350°F for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway.
  • Dough Swap: Use crescent roll dough or puff pastry instead of biscuits.
  • Filling Options: Try adding chopped nuts or a sprinkle of brown sugar for extra depth.
  • Extra Crunch: Roll in crushed graham crackers after the cinnamon-sugar coating.
