Best Banana Bread Recipe

This Best Banana Bread is super moist, easy to make, and absolutely delicious! It’s the perfect way to use up overripe bananas and makes a great snack or breakfast. Plus, it freezes beautifully, so you can enjoy it later too!

Ingredients:

  • 3-4 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease and flour an 8.5×4.5-inch loaf pan, or spray it with baking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the bananas, then add melted butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla. Stir until well combined.
  3. Sprinkle in the baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt, then mix until incorporated.
  4. Add the flour and walnuts (or chocolate chips) and stir gently until the flour is just mixed in.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove and let cool completely on a wire rack. Slice into 10 thick slices and enjoy!

Notes:

  • Baking time: If using a larger or smaller pan, adjust the baking time accordingly.
  • Muffins: For muffins, divide the batter into a muffin tin and bake for 20-24 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
