Cheesecake Deviled Strawberries

A fun and elegant twist on classic deviled eggs, these Cheesecake Deviled Strawberries combine juicy, fresh strawberries with a creamy, tangy cheesecake filling. Perfect as a light dessert or party appetizer that’s easy to make and impressively delicious!

Ingredients

  • 1 pint fresh strawberries, hulled
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • Optional toppings: graham cracker crumbs, mini chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or fresh mint leaves

Instructions

  1. Prepare Strawberries
Wash and dry strawberries. Using a small knife or a melon baller, carefully hollow out the center of each strawberry to create a cavity for the filling.
  2. Make Cheesecake Filling
In a bowl, beat softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and sour cream (or Greek yogurt) until smooth and creamy.
  3. Fill Strawberries
Spoon or pipe the cheesecake mixture into each hollowed strawberry.
  4. Add Toppings
Sprinkle with your choice of graham cracker crumbs, mini chocolate chips, nuts, or garnish with fresh mint leaves.
  5. Chill and Serve
Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving for the best texture and flavor.

Tips

  • Use fresh, firm strawberries for best results.
  • Pipe the filling using a small plastic bag with the tip cut off for a neat presentation.
  • Adjust sweetness by adding more or less powdered sugar to taste.
  • Prepare just before serving to keep strawberries fresh and juicy.

Variations and Substitutions

  • Vegan Option: Use dairy-free cream cheese and coconut yogurt.
  • Flavor Boost: Add lemon zest or a splash of almond extract to the filling.
  • Toppings: Swap graham crackers for crushed pistachios, toasted coconut, or freeze-dried raspberry pieces.
  • Mini Version: Use smaller strawberries for bite-sized treats.

FAQs

Can I make these ahead?
Yes, prepare and fill strawberries up to 4 hours ahead and keep refrigerated.

How long do they last?
Best eaten within 24 hours as strawberries can release moisture and soften.

Can I use frozen strawberries?
Fresh is best, but if using frozen, thaw and pat dry thoroughly to avoid sogginess.

Is this recipe gluten-free?
Yes, as long as you use gluten-free toppings.
