Cheesy Garlic Crescent Rolls

January 8, 2025 by el hassan Leave a Comment

These cheesy garlic crescent rolls are a quick and easy side dish or snack that everyone will love! Buttery crescent dough is stuffed with gooey cheese, brushed with garlic butter, and baked to golden perfection. Perfect for busy weeknights, game days, or holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 8 mozzarella cheese sticks or string cheese (cut in half if desired)
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp dried parsley or Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven:
    • Preheat to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the Crescent Rolls:
    • Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles.
  3. Add the Cheese:
    • Place a piece of mozzarella or string cheese at the wide end of each triangle. Roll the dough tightly around the cheese, tucking in the edges to seal.
  4. Make the Garlic Butter:
    • In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, and parsley (or Italian seasoning).
  5. Brush and Bake:
    • Place the rolls on the prepared baking sheet. Brush generously with the garlic butter mixture. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top if desired.
    • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  6. Serve Warm:
    • Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy on their own or with marinara sauce for dipping.

Tips for Perfect Crescent Rolls

  • Seal tightly: Prevent cheese from leaking by pinching the edges of the dough firmly.
  • Customize the filling: Add pepperoni slices, cooked bacon, or a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for variety.
  • Use fresh garlic: For the best flavor, use freshly minced garlic in the butter mixture.
