Cherry Cheesecake Lush

January 9, 2025 by el hassan Leave a Comment

Cherry cheesecake lush is a dreamy, no-bake dessert with layers of creamy cheesecake, sweet cherry pie filling, and a buttery graham cracker crust. This indulgent treat is perfect for holidays, potlucks, or whenever you need an easy yet impressive dessert.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 (8 oz) tub whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
  • 1 (21 oz) can cherry pie filling
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crust: In a bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish. Refrigerate for 10-15 minutes to set.
  2. Make the Cheesecake Layer: In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until creamy. Fold in half of the whipped topping until fully combined.
  3. Layer the Dessert: Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crust. Spoon the cherry pie filling over the cream cheese layer, spreading it gently to cover.
  4. Add the Topping: Spread the remaining whipped topping over the cherry layer, smoothing it with a spatula.
  5. Chill: Refrigerate the dessert for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to allow the layers to set.
  6. Serve: Slice into squares and serve chilled.

Tips for the Best Cherry Cheesecake Lush

  • Make Ahead: Prepare this dessert a day in advance for the best flavor and texture.
  • Use Homemade Pie Filling: Swap canned pie filling for homemade cherry compote if desired.
  • Customize Toppings: Top with shaved chocolate, sliced almonds, or extra cherries for added flair.
  • Experiment with Flavors: Try blueberry or strawberry pie filling for a fun variation.
