- 1 cup (250g) cherry pie filling
- 1 large egg (for egg wash)
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
These cute, handheld pies are bursting with cherry goodness and a buttery, flaky crust that melts in your mouth!

Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll Out Dough: Unroll the pie crusts and use a heart-shaped cookie cutter (about 3–4 inches wide) to cut out an even number of hearts.
- Fill the Pies: Place half of the hearts on the baking sheet. Add 1 tablespoon of cherry pie filling to the center of each, leaving a small border.
- Seal the Pies: Brush the edges with beaten egg, then top with the remaining hearts. Press the edges with a fork to seal.
- Add Egg Wash: Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with granulated sugar for a golden, sparkly finish.
- Bake: Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until the pies are golden brown. Cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Tips
- Use homemade cherry filling for an extra special touch.
- For extra flavor, drizzle the pies with a simple powdered sugar glaze after cooling.
- Store leftover pies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or in the fridge for up to 5 days.
