For the Chicken:

  • 2 large chicken breasts, sliced in half horizontally

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter

For the Pasta:

  • 12 oz fettuccine, penne, or pasta of choice
  • Salted water, for boiling

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup chicken broth (or reserved pasta water)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a little kick)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Step 1: Season & Cook the Chicken

Season both sides of the chicken with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove, let rest, then slice.

Step 2: Cook the Pasta

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside (reserve ½ cup pasta water if using instead of broth).

Step 3: Make the Sauce

In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan, and chicken broth. Let simmer for 3–5 minutes until thickened slightly. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.

Step 4: Combine

Add cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat. Add a splash of reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.

Top with sliced chicken and garnish with fresh parsley.
