Prep Time: 5 minutes | Cook Time: 55 minutes | Total Time: 1 hour | Servings: 12 slices

This Chocolate Brownie Cake is a deliciously indulgent treat that’s incredibly easy to make! Combining a rich chocolate cake and fudgy brownie layers, it’s topped with a smooth, glossy ganache for the ultimate chocolate lover’s dream.

Ingredients

For the Cake

  • 1 box (15.25 oz) chocolate cake mix
  • 1 box (18.3 oz) fudge brownie mix
  • 4 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 ¼ cups water, room temperature
  • 1 cup (218g) vegetable oil

For the Ganache

  • 1 cup (238g) heavy whipping cream
  • 1 bag (12 oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 10-inch Bundt pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Make the Cake Batter:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, brownie mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil.
    • Whisk for about 2 minutes until the batter is smooth and mostly free of lumps.
  3. Bake the Cake:
    • Pour the batter into the prepared Bundt pan.
    • Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (but no wet batter).
    • Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then, carefully turn it out onto a cooling rack to cool for another 30 minutes.
  4. Make the Ganache:
    • In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the heavy whipping cream for 45 seconds to 1 minute, or until it begins to simmer.
    • Add the semi-sweet chocolate chips to the hot cream, then let it sit for 5 minutes.
    • Whisk the chocolate and cream together until smooth and shiny, about 1 minute.
  5. Serve:
    • Pour the ganache over the cooled cake, allowing it to drip down the sides.
    • Slice and enjoy!
