Churro Cheesecake Bars

May 24, 2025 by el hassan Leave a Comment

Imagine the crispy, cinnamon-coated delight of a churro combined with the rich, velvety goodness of cheesecake—all baked into a handheld bar. That’s exactly what Churro Cheesecake Bars deliver. This easy, crowd-pleasing dessert brings the best of both worlds: flaky layers of cinnamon sugar pastry sandwiching a luscious, tangy cream cheese filling.

Whether you’re throwing a party, prepping a potluck favorite, or just craving something sweet and spectacular, these bars are guaranteed to be a hit. Even better? They come together with just a handful of ingredients and very little prep time, thanks to the magic of refrigerated crescent roll dough.

???? Ingredients

For the Bars

  • 2 (8 oz) cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg

For the Cinnamon Sugar Topping

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

????‍???? Instructions

1. Preheat and Prep

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

2. Create the Cinnamon Sugar

In a small bowl, mix the 1/2 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon cinnamon. Set aside.

3. Make the Cream Cheese Filling

In a large bowl, beat softened cream cheese, 1 cup sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.

4. Assemble the Bars

Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of the prepared dish, sealing the seams. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough.
Top with the second can of crescent dough, carefully stretching to cover the filling and pressing seams to seal.

5. Add the Topping

Brush the top with melted butter, then sprinkle generously with the cinnamon sugar mixture.

6. Bake

Bake for 30–35 minutes or until the top is golden and slightly puffed. Let cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour to firm up before slicing into bars.

???? Tips & Tricks

  • Seal the seams: Make sure to press the seams of the crescent rolls closed to prevent filling leaks.
  • Let it chill: For clean cuts, refrigerate the bars until fully chilled before slicing.
  • Add a twist: Drizzle with caramel sauce or add a sprinkle of sea salt for extra flavor.
  • Spiced cream cheese: Add a dash of cinnamon or nutmeg to the filling for more warmth.
  • Storage: Store bars in the fridge for up to 4 days. They taste amazing cold or at room temperature!

✨ My Personal Touch

These Churro Cheesecake Bars bring pure dessert joy with every bite—crispy, creamy, sweet, and just the right amount of spice. I love making them for gatherings because they’re easy, make-ahead-friendly, and never fail to wow a crowd. For a fun serving twist, try cutting them into bite-sized squares and serving them with toothpicks on a dessert platter. Instant party hit!
