There’s something magical about the combination of apples and cinnamon — sweet, warm, and nostalgic. This Cinnamon Apple Bread is everything you love about classic apple desserts baked into a tender, moist loaf bursting with fresh apple chunks and cinnamon swirls.

Whether you enjoy it for breakfast, as a snack, or as a comforting dessert with tea or coffee, this quick bread is incredibly simple to make and full of cozy goodness. The best part? Your kitchen will smell amazing while it bakes.

🍏 Why You’ll Love This Apple Cinnamon Bread

  • 🧁 Soft, moist texture thanks to fresh apples and oil
  • 🍎 Loaded with cinnamon-spiced apples in every bite
  • ☕ Perfect with coffee or tea
  • 👩‍🍳 No mixer required – one bowl and a whisk
  • 🧺 Freezer-friendly and great for gifting

👉 From my kitchen: I love drizzling this loaf with a simple cinnamon glaze or adding chopped walnuts for a little crunch — feel free to make it your own!

🛒 Ingredients

Makes 1 loaf (about 10 slices)

For the bread:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup vegetable oil or melted butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups peeled, chopped apples (about 2 medium apples)

Optional cinnamon swirl:

  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Optional glaze:

  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon

👨‍🍳 Instructions

Step 1: Prep the Oven & Pan

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.

Step 2: Mix the Dry Ingredients

In a medium bowl, whisk together:

  • Flour
  • Baking soda
  • Cinnamon
  • Nutmeg
  • Salt

Step 3: Make the Batter

In a large bowl, whisk:

  • Eggs
  • Brown sugar
  • Granulated sugar
  • Oil
  • Milk
  • Vanilla extract

Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Fold in the chopped apples — don’t overmix.

Step 4: Layer & Swirl (Optional)

Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar swirl mixture evenly over the batter. Pour in the rest of the batter and use a knife to gently swirl the cinnamon layer.

Step 5: Bake

Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Tent with foil halfway through if the top browns too quickly.

Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Step 6: Glaze (Optional)

In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and cinnamon. Drizzle over the cooled bread.
