Cinnamon Roll French Toast Roll-Ups

May 25, 2025 by el hassan Leave a Comment

Wake up your taste buds with these Cinnamon Roll French Toast Roll-Ups — a breakfast mashup that’s just as fun to make as it is to eat! Imagine warm, golden French toast wrapped around a cinnamon-sugar filling and finished with a cream cheese glaze… every bite is like a handheld cinnamon roll bursting with indulgent flavor.

These roll-ups are perfect for weekend brunch, special occasions, or when you’re craving something sweet and cozy. Kids love them, guests adore them, and you’ll appreciate how easy they are to whip up with just a few pantry staples.

???? Ingredients (Makes 10–12 roll-ups)

For the Roll-Ups:

  • 10–12 slices of soft white bread (crusts removed)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

For the Egg Mixture:

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Cream Cheese Glaze:

  • 2 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk (more as needed)
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

????‍???? Instructions

1. Prep the Bread

Use a rolling pin to flatten each slice of bread. Trim the crusts if you haven’t already.

2. Make Cinnamon Sugar

In a small bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon.

3. Roll and Fill

Brush each slice with melted butter, then sprinkle generously with the cinnamon sugar mixture. Roll up tightly and set aside, seam side down.

4. Dip in Egg Mixture

In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and vanilla. Dip each roll-up quickly into the egg mixture, coating all sides without soaking.

5. Cook the Roll-Ups

Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat and grease lightly with butter or oil. Cook roll-ups, seam side down first, turning to brown all sides evenly, about 5–7 minutes total.

6. Make the Glaze

While roll-ups cook, whisk together softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Adjust thickness with more milk if needed.

7. Serve

Drizzle warm roll-ups with cream cheese glaze and a sprinkle of extra cinnamon sugar if desired. Serve immediately!

???? Tips & Tricks

  • Use soft sandwich bread: White or brioche works best for rolling without cracking.
  • Don’t over-soak the bread in egg mixture — a quick dip is perfect.
  • Make ahead: Prep and roll the bread the night before, then dip and cook in the morning.
  • Add-ins: Try a layer of Nutella or cream cheese before the cinnamon sugar for a delicious twist.
  • Baking option: Prefer to bake? Arrange on a greased baking sheet and bake at 375°F for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway.

✨ My Personal Touch

These Cinnamon Roll French Toast Roll-Ups are a family favorite in my home. They bring the nostalgic flavors of Sunday morning cinnamon rolls — but without the long prep. I love making them for brunch gatherings or special mornings like birthdays and holidays. They’re sweet, sticky, and always gone in minutes. Even better? You can eat them with your hands!
