Crack Burgers

June 22, 2025 by [email protected] Leave a Comment

If you’re craving the ultimate comfort food that hits every flavor note – savory, cheesy, creamy, and crispy – then you’re going to fall head over heels for these Crack Burgers. They get their name for a reason: they’re so good, they’re downright addictive.

These burgers are loaded with a rich blend of cream cheese, crispy bacon, shredded cheddar, and ranch seasoning all stuffed or spread inside perfectly grilled beef patties. Serve them on soft toasted buns with lettuce, tomato, and your favorite toppings for the most unforgettable burger experience ever.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe

  • Juicy, flavor-packed burgers
  • Melty, creamy filling with bacon and cheese
  • Easy to make with simple ingredients
  • Crowd-pleaser for BBQs, game day, or family dinners
  • Can be cooked on the stovetop, grill, or in the oven

Ingredients (U.S. Standard Measurements – Makes 4 Crack Burgers)

For the Creamy Crack Filling:

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon ranch seasoning mix (store-bought or homemade)
  • Optional: 1 green onion, finely chopped

For the Burgers:

  • 1 ½ lbs ground beef (80/20 blend recommended)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 hamburger buns, toasted
  • Toppings: lettuce, tomato slices, pickles, onion, mayo, or more ranch

Instructions

  1. Make the Crack Filling
In a bowl, mix cream cheese, shredded cheddar, crumbled bacon, ranch seasoning, and green onion. Stir until smooth and creamy. Set aside.
  2. Form the Burger Patties
In a large bowl, mix ground beef with Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Divide into 8 equal portions and flatten into thin patties.
  3. Stuff the Burgers
Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the crack filling onto 4 patties. Top each with another patty, pressing the edges tightly to seal the filling inside.
  4. Cook the Burgers
Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the stuffed patties for 5–6 minutes per side, or until fully cooked and the cheese is melty inside.
  5. Assemble and Serve
Place each burger on a toasted bun and add your favorite toppings. Serve immediately with fries, chips, or a crisp salad.

Tips & Tricks

  • Use cold filling to make stuffing easier and prevent leaks.
  • Seal edges well to keep all that cheesy goodness inside!
  • Swap cheddar for pepper jack or mozzarella for a twist.
  • Not into stuffing? Spread the crack mixture directly on top of the cooked patties instead.
  • These also make great sliders – just use smaller patties and buns!
