Some dips are good. Some are great. And then there’s Crack Dip — the one that gets devoured within minutes, has everyone asking for the recipe, and is as simple to make as it is delicious.

Made with a creamy base, crispy bacon, shredded cheddar, and ranch seasoning, this dip hits all the right notes: salty, creamy, tangy, and packed with flavor. Serve it cold or baked until bubbly, with chips, veggies, or bread — it’s perfect for any party, holiday spread, or game day.

Why You’ll Love This Dip

  • 🥓 Packed with bacon, cheese, and ranch flavor

  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (or 2 tablespoons homemade ranch mix)
  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6–8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 green onions, sliced (plus more for garnish)

For Cold Crack Dip:

  1. In a medium bowl, mix sour cream and ranch seasoning until smooth.
  2. Stir in cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, and green onions.

  4. Garnish with extra bacon or green onion. Serve with chips, crackers, or veggie sticks.

For Hot Baked Crack Dip:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine all ingredients in an oven-safe dish.
  3. Bake for 20–25 minutes, until hot and bubbly.
  4. Serve warm with tortilla chips, toasted baguette slices, or pretzels.
