These Crack Green Beans are baked in a buttery, sweet, and savory brown sugar glaze, with crispy bacon adding a smoky crunch! This easy side dish is packed with flavor, making it perfect for weeknight dinners, potlucks, and holiday feasts. Once you try them, you’ll see why they’re called crack green beans – they’re completely irresistible! ????

???? Ingredients

  • 2 (14.5 oz) cans green beans, drained (or 4 cups fresh green beans, blanched)
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • ⅓ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

???? Instructions

Step 1: Preheat & Prep

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Step 2: Assemble the Dish

  1. Spread drained green beans evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  2. Sprinkle cooked, crumbled bacon over the green beans.

Step 3: Make the Glaze

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until well combined.

Step 4: Bake & Serve

  1. Pour the glaze evenly over the green beans and bacon.
  2. Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes, until the sauce is bubbly and caramelized.
  3. Stir before serving to coat the beans in the delicious glaze.

Step 5: Enjoy!

  1. Serve warm and watch them disappear! ????

???? Tips for the Best Crack Green Beans

✔️ Use fresh green beans for extra crunch! Just blanch them in boiling water for 3-4 minutes before baking.
✔️ Thicker-cut bacon adds more smoky flavor and crispiness.
✔️ Want a spicy kick? Add a pinch of red pepper flakes or a drizzle of sriracha!
✔️ Make it ahead! Assemble everything the night before and bake when ready.
