Crazy Good Casserole

There’s a reason it’s called Crazy Good Casserole — because once you try it, you’ll want to make it every week! This baked dish combines tender chicken, smoky bacon, creamy sour cream, melty cheese, and perfectly seasoned pasta all into one bubbly, golden, oven-baked masterpiece. It’s cozy, comforting, and absolutely addictive.

The best part? It uses simple ingredients and comes together fast, making it a perfect choice for busy weeknights, potlucks, or when you just need a warm, cheesy hug in a baking dish.


🛒 Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded or cubed (rotisserie works great)
  • 8 oz penne or rotini pasta
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 green onions, sliced (optional, for garnish)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Preheat oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2. Cook the pasta

Boil the pasta in salted water until just al dente. Drain and set aside.

3. Mix the filling

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir in the cooked pasta and half of the crumbled bacon.

4. Assemble and bake

Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Top with the remaining bacon and a bit of extra cheese if desired.

5. Bake

Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until hot and bubbly. Broil for an additional 2–3 minutes for a golden, crisp top.

6. Garnish and serve

Remove from oven, let cool slightly, and garnish with sliced green onions. Serve warm.
