Creamy Chicken Bake

This Creamy Chicken Bake is the ultimate comfort food! Tender chicken breasts baked in a rich, creamy sauce topped with gooey cheese. Perfect for a family dinner or a cozy night in.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp paprika (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
    • Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika if using. Arrange in the prepared baking dish.
  2. Make the Creamy Sauce:
    • In a medium bowl, mix cream of chicken soup, cream cheese, and sour cream until smooth. Spread the mixture evenly over the chicken breasts.
  3. Top with Cheese:
    • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the creamy sauce.
  4. Bake:
    • Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10–15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (165°F/74°C internal temperature) and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  5. Serve:
    • Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley if desired and enjoy!

Notes

  • Serve over rice, mashed potatoes, or pasta for a complete meal.
  • Add cooked bacon or sautéed mushrooms to the sauce for extra flavor.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave.
