Crockpot Angel Chicken

January 10, 2025 by el hassan Leave a Comment

Crockpot Angel Chicken is a creamy, comforting, and flavorful dish that pairs tender chicken with a rich, savory sauce served over angel hair pasta. This easy slow-cooker recipe is perfect for busy weeknights or cozy family dinners!

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (0.7 oz) packet Italian dressing mix
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 12 oz angel hair pasta, cooked

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crockpot: Lightly grease the crockpot with nonstick cooking spray or butter.
  2. Place Chicken in Crockpot: Arrange the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot.
  3. Make the Sauce: In a bowl, whisk together the cream cheese, cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, Italian dressing mix, chicken broth, and butter until smooth.
  4. Cook: Pour the sauce over the chicken. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
  5. Shred the Chicken (Optional): If desired, shred the chicken with two forks and stir it into the sauce.
  6. Serve: Spoon the chicken and sauce over cooked angel hair pasta. Garnish with fresh parsley or grated Parmesan cheese if desired.

Tips for the Best Angel Chicken

  • Use Thin-Sliced Chicken: Thin chicken breasts or chicken thighs work well for even cooking.
  • Make It Lighter: Use reduced-fat cream cheese and soups for a lighter version.
  • Add Veggies: Stir in spinach or mushrooms during the last 30 minutes of cooking for added nutrition.
  • Serve with Bread: Pair with garlic bread or a side salad for a complete meal.
