This Dump and Bake Meatball Casserole is a delicious and effortless dish that combines savory meatballs, pasta, and cheese into a comforting, crowd-pleasing meal. Perfect for busy weeknights, this casserole requires minimal prep time—just toss everything together and pop it in the oven. With its gooey cheese topping and flavorful marinara sauce, it’s sure to become a family favorite!


Ingredients:

  • Meatballs:
    • 1 pound frozen meatballs (fully cooked)
  • Pasta:
    • 8 ounces rotini or penne pasta
    • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • Cheese:
    • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
    • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Vegetables:
    • 1 bell pepper, chopped
    • 1 cup sliced mushrooms (optional)
  • Seasonings:
    • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
    • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Liquid:
    • 2 cups water or broth

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the Casserole Dish: In a large casserole dish, combine the uncooked pasta, frozen meatballs, bell pepper, mushrooms, marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add Liquid: Pour water or broth over the mixture, stirring to combine everything evenly.
  4. Add Cheese: Sprinkle mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese (if using) on top of the casserole mixture.
  5. Bake: Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
