Pair them with roasted veggies, mashed potatoes, or a crisp salad for a delicious, well-rounded meal that’s perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

For the Pork Chops:

  • 4 boneless pork chops (about 600g total)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

For the Brown Sugar Glaze:

  • 50g brown sugar (¼ cup, packed)
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • ½ teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for spice)

Instructions

Step 1: Season & Sear the Pork Chops

  1. Pat dry the pork chops with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
  2. Season both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Sear the pork chops for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Remove the pork chops from the pan and set them aside.

Step 2: Make the Brown Sugar Glaze

  1. In the same pan, reduce heat to medium and add butter, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Stir well, letting the glaze simmer for 1-2 minutes until slightly thickened.

Step 3: Coat & Finish Cooking

  1. Return the pork chops to the skillet and spoon the glaze over them.
  2. Let the pork chops cook in the glaze for 2-3 more minutes, ensuring they reach an internal temperature of 63°C (145°F).
  3. Remove from heat and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Tips & Tricks for the Best Pork Chops

✨ Use thick-cut pork chops – This prevents them from drying out during cooking.

✨ Don’t overcook! – Use a meat thermometer to ensure perfect doneness (145°F or 63°C).

✨ Add extra flavor – A splash of balsamic vinegar or honey can enhance the glaze!

✨ Make it spicy – Add more red pepper flakes or a dash of cayenne pepper.

✨ Let them rest – Resting allows the juices to redistribute, keeping the meat tender.
