Easy Edible Cookie Dough

May 25, 2025 by el hassan Leave a Comment

We’ve all been guilty of sneaking bites of raw cookie dough — but now you can enjoy it without any guilt (or risk). This Easy Edible Cookie Dough is made specifically to be eaten raw — no eggs, no raw flour, and 100% safe to indulge. It’s creamy, buttery, perfectly sweet, and loaded with chocolate chips in every bite.

Whether you want a late-night treat, a party snack, or a fun recipe to make with kids, this cookie dough is the answer. It takes just 10 minutes to make and hits the sweet spot every time.

???? Ingredients (Makes about 1 1/2 cups)

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons milk (or as needed for texture)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour, heat-treated*
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips

*To heat-treat flour: Microwave it in a bowl for 1 minute, stirring every 15 seconds, or bake on a sheet at 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes. This kills any harmful bacteria and makes it safe to eat.

????‍???? Instructions

1. Heat-Treat the Flour

If you haven’t already, heat-treat the flour (see tip above) and allow it to cool before using.

2. Cream Butter and Sugars

In a medium bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy and fluffy.

3. Add Milk and Vanilla

Mix in vanilla extract and milk until combined.

4. Mix in Flour

Gradually stir in the heat-treated flour and salt until the mixture forms a smooth dough.

5. Fold in Chocolate Chips

Gently fold in the mini chocolate chips. Taste and adjust sweetness or add-ins as desired.

6. Serve or Chill

Enjoy immediately or refrigerate for 15–30 minutes for a firmer texture. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
