Whether you’re preparing them for a family gathering or a weekend treat, these Maple Bacon Cinnamon Rolls are sure to become a new favorite.

???? Ingredients (Makes 12 Cinnamon Rolls)

For the Cinnamon Rolls:

  • 1 can (425 g) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 100 g unsalted butter, softened
  • 100 g brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon (12 g)
  • 100 g cooked bacon, chopped into small pieces (about 4 strips)

For the Maple Glaze:

  • 120 g powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup (30 ml)
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter, melted (15 g)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (5 ml)
  • Pinch of salt

???? Instructions

Step 1: Preheat Oven and Prepare Baking Dish

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.

Step 2: Prepare the Cinnamon Roll Filling

  1. Open the can of crescent dough and unroll the dough into a single rectangle (press the perforations together to seal).
  2. Spread the softened butter evenly across the dough, covering the entire surface.
  3. Sprinkle brown sugar, cinnamon, and chopped bacon evenly over the buttered dough.

Step 3: Roll Up the Dough

  1. Starting from one long side, tightly roll up the dough into a log.
  2. Cut the log into 12 even slices (about 1 inch wide each). Place the slices into the prepared baking dish.

Step 4: Bake

  1. Bake the cinnamon rolls for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.

Step 5: Make the Maple Glaze

  1. While the rolls are baking, whisk together powdered sugar, maple syrup, melted butter, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt in a small bowl. Stir until smooth and well combined.

Step 6: Glaze the Rolls

  1. Once the rolls are baked and slightly cooled (about 5 minutes), drizzle the maple glaze generously over the top of each roll.

Step 7: Serve

Serve warm with extra bacon bits on top if desired, and enjoy the perfect balance of sweet and savory in every bite!

???? Tips & Tricks

  • Use high-quality bacon: The bacon makes all the difference in this recipe, so be sure to use a good-quality, thick-cut bacon for the best flavor and texture.
  • For an extra crunch, sprinkle some chopped pecans or walnuts over the rolls before baking.
  • Make-ahead option: You can assemble the rolls the night before, cover them with plastic wrap, and refrigerate overnight. The next morning, just pop them in the oven for a quick breakfast treat.
  • To make the rolls even richer, add a dollop of cream cheese frosting on top along with the maple glaze.

????‍???? From My Kitchen – Creative Twist

For a maple-pumpkin variation, try adding a few tablespoons of pumpkin puree to the butter-sugar mixture and a pinch of nutmeg. This makes for a cozy fall-inspired treat that’s perfect for the holidays. Alternatively, swap out the bacon for sausage for a breakfast-inspired twist!
