June 21, 2025 by [email protected] Leave a Comment

Craving homemade pizza but short on time (or yeast)? This No-Yeast Pizza Dough is your go-to solution. It comes together in less than 10 minutes, requires only basic pantry ingredients, and bakes up with a chewy, tender crust and crispy edges — no rise time, no waiting, and absolutely no compromise on flavor or texture.

Whether you’re making a classic Margherita, a loaded meat lover’s pie, or a veggie-packed masterpiece, this quick dough is the perfect foundation for your next pizza night.

⚡ Why You’ll Love This No-Yeast Pizza Dough

  • ⏱️ Ready in 10 minutes – no rising, no proofing
  • 🍞 Soft and chewy crust with crisp edges
  • 🧂 Simple pantry ingredients – no fancy flours needed
  • 🍕 Perfect for thin or thick crust pizzas
  • 🧑‍🍳 Great for beginners or last-minute meals

👉 From my kitchen: I use this recipe for everything — from flatbreads to mini pizzas to calzones. It’s endlessly adaptable and foolproof!

🛒 Ingredients

Makes 1 medium-thick 12-inch pizza or 2 thin-crust pizzas

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (plus more for dusting)
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup warm water (not hot)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (plus more for brushing)

👨‍🍳 Instructions

Step 1: Mix the Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together:

  • Flour
  • Baking powder
  • Salt

This replaces the need for yeast and gives rise and structure to your dough.

Step 2: Add the Wet Ingredients

  1. Make a well in the center and add warm water and olive oil.
  2. Stir with a spoon or your hands until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Turn out onto a floured surface and knead gently for 2–3 minutes until smooth and pliable.

💡 Tip: If the dough feels sticky, add a sprinkle of flour. If it feels dry, add a teaspoon of water.

Step 3: Roll It Out

  1. Roll or stretch the dough into your desired shape — round, rectangle, or personal-sized pizzas.
  2. For thin crust, divide in half and roll out to ⅛ inch thick.
  3. For thicker crust, roll to about ¼–½ inch thick.

Step 4: Pre-Bake (Optional but Recommended)

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. Transfer dough to a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  3. Pre-bake for 5–7 minutes before adding toppings — this prevents a soggy center.

Step 5: Top & Bake

  1. Add your favorite sauce, cheese, and toppings.
  2. Return to oven and bake for 8–12 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and crust is golden brown.

🍕 Topping Ideas

  • Classic Margherita – Tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, basil, olive oil
  • Meat Lovers – Pepperoni, sausage, bacon, mozzarella, red sauce
  • Veggie Supreme – Mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, olives, spinach
  • White Pizza – Garlic butter, ricotta, mozzarella, spinach
  • BBQ Chicken – BBQ sauce, shredded chicken, red onion, cilantro

💡 Tips & Variations

  • Make it whole wheat: Swap 1 cup flour with whole wheat flour
  • Gluten-free: Use 1:1 gluten-free all-purpose blend
  • Make it herby: Add Italian seasoning, garlic powder, or Parmesan to the dough
  • Turn it into breadsticks: Brush with garlic butter and bake until golden
  • Freeze it: Wrap in plastic and freeze for up to 2 months (thaw before using)
