Fudgy Brownies from Scratch Recipe

These fudgy brownies are rich, decadent, and perfectly chocolatey with a moist, gooey center. Made from scratch with simple ingredients, they’re a crowd-pleasing treat for any occasion!


Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Mix wet ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
  3. Combine dry ingredients: In another bowl, sift together the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder.
  4. Combine batter: Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Do not overmix. Fold in chocolate chips if desired.
  5. Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  6. Cool and serve: Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares. Enjoy as is or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
