Garlic Roasted Brussels Sprouts

January 21, 2025 by el hassan Leave a Comment

Roasting Brussels sprouts brings out their natural sweetness while giving them an irresistible crispy texture. This Garlic Roasted Brussels Sprouts recipe is simple yet packed with bold flavors—perfect as a side dish for any meal!

Ingredients (Serves 4)

✅ 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
✅ 3 tablespoons olive oil
✅ 3 cloves garlic, minced
✅ 1 teaspoon salt
✅ 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
✅ 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
✅ 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
✅ 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar or lemon juice (for finishing)
✅ 1/4 cup grated Parmesan (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.

Step 2: Season the Brussels Sprouts

1️⃣ Trim the Brussels sprouts and cut them in half. If they are large, quarter them for even roasting.
2️⃣ In a large bowl, toss the sprouts with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes.

Step 3: Roast to Perfection

1️⃣ Spread the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on the baking sheet, cut-side down for maximum crispiness.
2️⃣ Roast for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy on the edges.

Step 4: Add the Finishing Touches

1️⃣ Remove from the oven and drizzle with balsamic vinegar or lemon juice for a touch of acidity.
2️⃣ If desired, sprinkle with grated Parmesan before serving.

???? Pair with eggs and toast for a delicious brunch

Tips for the Best Roasted Brussels Sprouts

✔ Use fresh Brussels sprouts: They should be firm with bright green leaves.
✔ Don’t overcrowd the pan: This ensures even roasting and crispiness.
✔ Roast at high heat: A hot oven (425°F) caramelizes the sprouts for the best flavor.
✔ Try different seasonings: Add honey, Dijon mustard, or crushed nuts for variety.
