Homemade Crunch Bars: Quick, Easy, and Irresistible!

Perfect as a quick snack, dessert, or gift for friends and family, these DIY Crunch Bars are fun to prepare and even better to enjoy!


Ingredients (Makes 8-10 bars)

  • 2 cups chocolate (milk, dark, or semi-sweet—your choice!)
  • 1 cup crispy rice cereal (like Rice Krispies)

Optional Add-Ins:

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • Drizzle of white chocolate for decoration

Instructions

Step 1: Melt the Chocolate

  1. Break the chocolate into small pieces and place it in a microwave-safe bowl.
  2. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until fully melted and smooth. (Alternatively, melt the chocolate using a double boiler.)

Step 2: Mix with Rice Cereal

  1. Gently fold the crispy rice cereal into the melted chocolate, ensuring all the cereal is evenly coated.

Step 3: Prepare the Mold

  1. Line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper or use a silicone mold for bar shapes.
  2. Pour the chocolate mixture into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula.

Step 4: Chill & Set

  1. Refrigerate the mixture for 1-2 hours, or until fully set and firm.

Step 5: Slice & Serve

  1. Once the chocolate is set, remove it from the pan and slice into bars.
  2. Store in an airtight container at room temperature or in the fridge for a firmer texture.
