Lemon Vanilla Black Tea Iced Tea – Light, Elegant & Refreshing

???? Ingredients (Serves 4–6)

  • 4 cups water
  • 4 black tea bags (English breakfast or Earl Grey work well)
  • 2–3 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract (or use vanilla bean paste for extra flavor)
  • Juice of 1 large lemon
  • Zest of ½ lemon (optional, for stronger lemon flavor)
  • 2 cups cold water or ice cubes
  • Lemon slices, for garnish
  • Fresh mint or lavender sprigs, for garnish (optional)

1. Brew the Black Tea

  • Bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
  • Remove from heat and add tea bags.
  • Let steep for 5–7 minutes depending on how strong you like your tea.
  • Remove tea bags and let the tea cool to room temperature.

2. Add Flavorings

  • Stir in honey or sweetener, vanilla extract, lemon juice, and lemon zest while the tea is still slightly warm so the flavors meld beautifully.
  • Stir until the sweetener is fully dissolved.

3. Chill & Mix

  • Add 2 cups of cold water or plenty of ice cubes to dilute and chill.
  • Transfer to the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to fully cool.

4. Serve

  • Pour over ice in glasses and garnish with lemon slices, mint, or even a lavender sprig for a beautiful, fragrant finish.
