Mississippi Sin Dip

December 28, 2024 by el hassan Leave a Comment

Mississippi Sin Dip is a warm, creamy, and cheesy appetizer that’s perfect for parties, game days, or any gathering. Packed with savory ham, cream cheese, sour cream, and a blend of cheeses, this indulgent dip is baked in a bread bowl for an irresistible presentation. Serve it with bread chunks, crackers, or veggies, and watch it disappear!

Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf French bread or sourdough bread
  • 8 oz (1 block) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced ham (cooked or deli ham works)
  • 1/4 cup diced green onions
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Optional Dippers:

  • Crackers
  • Veggies like celery or carrots
  • Additional bread chunks

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the Bread Bowl: Cut the top off the loaf of bread and hollow out the inside, leaving about a 1-inch border to create a bread bowl. Save the removed bread pieces for dipping.
  3. Make the Dip Mixture: In a medium bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, diced ham, green onions, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Fill the Bread Bowl: Spoon the dip mixture into the hollowed-out bread bowl. Wrap the filled bread bowl in aluminum foil.
  5. Bake: Place the wrapped bread bowl on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly.
  6. Serve: Remove the foil, and serve warm with crackers, veggies, or the reserved bread pieces.
