Nutella Crepes

January 7, 2025 by el hassan Leave a Comment

Indulge in the ultimate breakfast or dessert treat with these easy Nutella crepes! Light, tender crepes are filled with creamy Nutella and can be topped with fruits, whipped cream, or a sprinkle of powdered sugar for a decadent finish.

Ingredients

For the Crepes:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted (plus extra for the pan)
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

For the Filling and Toppings:

  • 1/2 cup Nutella (or more, to taste)
  • Sliced bananas, strawberries, or berries (optional)
  • Whipped cream (optional)
  • Powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crepe Batter:
    • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, eggs, milk, melted butter, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth. Let the batter rest for 15-20 minutes to allow bubbles to settle.
  2. Cook the Crepes:
    • Heat a nonstick skillet or crepe pan over medium heat and lightly butter the surface.
    • Pour 1/4 cup of batter into the pan, tilting it to spread evenly into a thin layer.
    • Cook for 1-2 minutes, or until the edges lift and the bottom is golden brown. Flip and cook for another 30 seconds. Repeat with the remaining batter, stacking crepes on a plate.
  3. Assemble the Crepes:
    • Spread a generous layer of Nutella onto each crepe. Fold the crepe in half, then fold again into quarters or roll it up.
  4. Add Toppings:
    • Top with sliced fruit, whipped cream, or a dusting of powdered sugar for extra indulgence.
  5. Serve: Serve warm and enjoy immediately!

Tips for Perfect Crepes

  • Rest the batter: This helps create tender, smooth crepes.
  • Use a thin layer: Tilt the pan quickly to spread the batter evenly for paper-thin crepes.
  • Keep warm: Stack cooked crepes and cover with a clean towel to keep warm while finishing the batch.
