One Bowl Apple Cake

January 24, 2025 by el hassan Leave a Comment

This One Bowl Apple Cake is incredibly moist, packed with fresh apples, and bursting with warm cinnamon flavor! ????✨ Made with simple ingredients and mixed in just one bowl, this easy cake is perfect for breakfast, snack time, or dessert. Serve it warm with a dusting of powdered sugar or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra treat!

Ingredients (Serves 8-10)

  • 2 large apples, peeled, cored, and diced (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work best)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup vegetable oil (or melted butter)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat & Prep

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round or square baking pan and set aside.

Step 2: Mix Everything in One Bowl

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together sugar, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Add flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt, then stir until just combined.
  3. Fold in the diced apples and nuts (if using).

Step 3: Bake

  1. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  2. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Step 4: Cool & Serve

  1. Let cool for 10-15 minutes before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Tips & Variations

???? Apple Choice: Use tart apples like Granny Smith for a sweet-tart balance or Honeycrisp for extra sweetness.
???? Healthier Option: Swap half the sugar for honey or maple syrup.
???? Nut-Free Version: Simply omit the nuts or replace them with raisins.
???? Extra Apple Flavor: Add an extra ½ cup of diced apples for a super moist cake.
???? Topping Ideas: Serve with powdered sugar, caramel drizzle, or a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
