These Oreo Balls are an irresistible, no-bake treat made with just four simple ingredients! Coated in smooth chocolate, they’re rich, decadent, and easy to make—perfect for any occasion, from holiday gatherings to everyday indulgence.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe

✔ No Cream Cheese or Sweetened Condensed Milk – A lighter take on Oreo truffles!
✔ Easy & No-Bake – Just blend, roll, dip, and chill!
✔ Customizable – Use dark, semi-sweet, or white chocolate for variety.
✔ Perfect for Any Occasion – A year-round treat for parties, holidays, or gifting.

Ingredients

???? Makes 16 truffles

  • 30 Oreo cookies (340g) (use the whole cookie, filling included)
  • 3 tbsp (45g) unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly
  • 2 to 5 tbsp milk, as needed
  • 8 oz (225g) dark, semi-sweet, or white chocolate (about 1 ½ cups, chopped)
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil (optional) (helps with smooth chocolate coating)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Oreo Mixture

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a food processor, pulse the Oreos until they form fine crumbs.
  • Add melted butter and 2 tbsp milk, then pulse again until the mixture is well-moistened and sticks together when pressed.
  • If the mixture is too dry, add more milk, 1 tbsp at a time, until it reaches the right consistency.

2. Shape the Truffles

  • Scoop out 1 tablespoon-sized portions and roll into smooth balls.
  • If the mixture is too sticky to roll, scoop portions onto the parchment-lined tray, then freeze for 10-15 minutes before rolling.
  • Chill the rolled truffles in the freezer for at least 15 minutes (this makes them easier to coat in chocolate).

3. Melt the Chocolate

  • Melt chocolate using either:
???? Microwave Method: Heat chopped chocolate in 10-second bursts, stirring after each, until smooth.
???? Double Boiler Method: Place chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a pot of lightly simmering water. Stir until melted.
  • If using, stir 1 tsp vegetable oil into the melted chocolate for a smoother coating. Let it cool slightly before dipping.

4. Coat the Truffles

  • Drop a chilled Oreo ball into the melted chocolate, tossing to coat.
  • Lift with a fork or chocolate dipping tool, gently shaking off excess chocolate.
  • Place coated truffles back onto the parchment-lined tray.
  • While the chocolate is still wet, garnish with crushed Oreos, flaky sea salt, or a chocolate drizzle for extra flair.

5. Chill & Serve

  • Refrigerate truffles until the chocolate sets (about 15-30 minutes).
  • Keep stored in the fridge until ready to serve.

Tips for Perfect Oreo Balls

???? Mixture Too Dry? Add more milk, 1 tbsp at a time, until it sticks together.
???? Too Sticky to Roll? Chill in the fridge for 1 hour or freeze for 10-15 minutes before rolling.
???? Chocolate Too Thick? Add 1 tsp oil to thin it out and make dipping easier.
???? Truffles Melting in Chocolate? Ensure they are very well chilled before dipping.

Storage & Make-Ahead Tips

???? Fridge: Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks. Stack with parchment paper between layers if needed.
❄️ Freezer: Freeze for up to 3 months. Let sit at room temperature for a few minutes before serving.
???? Avoid Room Temperature: These truffles soften quickly, so keep them chilled until serving.

Variations & Flavor Ideas

???? Chocolate Choices: Use milk, dark, semi-sweet, or white chocolate.
???? Nutty Twist: Drizzle with melted peanut butter or Nutella.
???? Festive: Sprinkle with crushed candy canes for a holiday treat!
???? Themed Colors: Use colored candy melts for special occasions.
