Pear & Brie Cheese Salad Skewers

December 24, 2024 by el hassan Leave a Comment

These Pear & Brie Cheese Salad Skewers are an elegant appetizer that combines the sweetness of pears, the creaminess of Brie, and the crunch of candied pecans. Perfect for entertaining or as a light snack!

Ingredients (Makes 12 Skewers)

  • 2 ripe pears, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 8 oz Brie cheese, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 cup baby spinach leaves
  • 1/2 cup candied pecans, halved
  • 12 wooden skewers
  • 2 tablespoons honey, for drizzling
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze, optional

Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients:
    • Cut the pears and Brie into evenly sized cubes.
    • Wash and pat dry the baby spinach leaves.
  2. Assemble Skewers:
    • On each skewer, thread a piece of pear, a folded spinach leaf, a cube of Brie, and half a candied pecan. Repeat the process until the skewer is full, leaving some space at the bottom for handling.
  3. Drizzle and Serve:
    • Arrange the skewers on a serving platter. Drizzle with honey and balsamic glaze if desired.
  4. Enjoy:
    • Serve immediately for the freshest flavor, or cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Tips

  • Variations: Substitute pears with apples or figs for a seasonal twist.
  • Make Ahead: Assemble skewers a few hours before serving, but add the honey drizzle just before serving to prevent sogginess.
  • Presentation: Serve with additional candied pecans or a side of balsamic glaze for dipping.
