Pizza Burgers Recipe

Description

These Pizza Burgers are the ultimate fusion of two favorites—burgers and pizza! Juicy beef patties are topped with melty mozzarella, pizza sauce, and pepperoni, all tucked inside a toasted bun. Perfect for a fun family dinner, game day, or a quick weeknight meal.


Ingredients

For the Burger Patties:

  • 1 lb ground beef (or turkey)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Toppings:

  • ½ cup pizza sauce
  • 4 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 12 slices pepperoni
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1 tbsp butter (for toasting buns)
  • 1 tbsp grated Parmesan (optional)
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Make the Patties

  1. In a bowl, mix ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Divide into 4 equal patties, slightly larger than the bun (they shrink when cooked).

Step 2: Cook the Patties

  1. Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat.
  2. Cook patties for 3-4 minutes per side, until browned and cooked through.
  3. In the last 2 minutes, place a slice of mozzarella cheese on each patty to melt.

Step 3: Toast the Buns

  1. Spread butter on the buns and toast in a pan for 1-2 minutes until golden.

Step 4: Assemble the Pizza Burgers

  1. Place each patty on a toasted bun.
  2. Spoon pizza sauce over the cheese.
  3. Add pepperoni slices and sprinkle with Parmesan and red pepper flakes.
  4. Top with the bun and enjoy!

Serving Suggestions

  • Serve with French fries, garlic bread, or a side salad.
  • Add extra pizza toppings like mushrooms, olives, or bell peppers.
  • Dip in extra marinara sauce for more flavor.
