A stately set of ten Swedish Gustavian upholstered dining chairs from the Louis XVI period. These sturdy and comfortable painted chairs are all hand carved with a floral and hop design at the top of the chair back and leaf motifs on the other three sides. There is a similar design on the chair bases, all raised on a pair of turned and fluted front legs. The seat is removable and recently upholstered.
