Ingredients (Measured in Grams)

For the Dough:

  • 250g all-purpose flour
  • 50g granulated sugar
  • 8g baking powder (about 2 teaspoons)
  • 3g salt (about ½ teaspoon)
  • 180g milk (preferably whole milk)
  • 50g unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg (about 50g)

For the Cinnamon Filling:

  • 80g brown sugar
  • 10g ground cinnamon (about 1 tablespoon)
  • 30g unsalted butter, softened

For the Glaze:

  • 100g powdered sugar
  • 20g milk (about 1–2 tablespoons)
  • 3g vanilla extract (about ½ teaspoon)

Instructions

1. Preheat and Prep:

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • Lightly grease a baking dish or line with parchment paper.

2. Make the Dough:

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, whisk the milk, melted butter, and egg.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and stir just until combined — the dough will be soft but not sticky.

3. Prepare the Filling:

  • In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon together.

4. Roll and Fill:

  • On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough out into a rectangle about 25 x 35 cm (10 x 14 inches).
  • Spread the softened butter over the dough.
  • Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly on top.

5. Shape the Rolls:

  • Roll the dough tightly from the longer side into a log.
  • Slice into 8–10 rolls using a sharp knife or dental floss.

6. Bake:

  • Place the rolls in the prepared baking dish, slightly spaced apart.
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes, until lightly golden and cooked through.

7. Make the Glaze:

  • While the rolls bake, mix the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.

8. Glaze and Serve:

  • Drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy the ooey-gooey goodness!

Tips and Tricks for Perfect Quick Cinnamon Rolls ????✨

  • Use soft butter for filling: It spreads easily and helps the cinnamon sugar stick without tearing the dough.
  • Dental floss trick: Slide a piece of dental floss under the rolled dough, cross the ends over the top, and pull tight to slice — it keeps the rolls round and neat.
  • Don’t overbake: Bake until just golden. Overbaking will make the rolls dry instead of tender and soft.
  • Customize your filling: Add chopped nuts, raisins, or even a few mini chocolate chips for extra decadence.

Fun Variations:

  • Cream Cheese Frosting: Replace the simple glaze with a cream cheese frosting for a richer, tangy finish.
  • Pumpkin Spice Rolls: Replace 1 teaspoon of cinnamon with pumpkin pie spice for a fall twist!
  • Lemon Blueberry Rolls: Add lemon zest to the dough and fresh blueberries in the filling for a fruity version.

Make Ahead Tips:

  • Prepare the night before: Shape the rolls and refrigerate overnight. In the morning, let them sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before baking.
  • Freezer friendly: Freeze baked, unglazed rolls. Reheat in the microwave or oven and glaze fresh!
