S’mores Bars

Bring the magic of the campfire indoors with these S’mores Bars—a gooey, golden, chocolatey treat that layers everything you love about classic s’mores into one irresistible dessert! With a buttery graham cracker crust, melty chocolate, and gooey marshmallows, these bars are easy to make and perfect for parties, holidays, or anytime you’re craving something sweet and nostalgic.

🍫 Ingredients

  • 1½ cups graham cracker crumbs (about 10 full sheets)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1½ cups mini marshmallows
  • Optional: ½ cup crushed graham crackers for topping
  • Optional: milk chocolate chunks for a classic Hershey’s-style flavor

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch or 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease.
  2. Make the crust:
In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Press firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan to form an even layer.
  3. Layer chocolate:
Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the crust. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
  4. Bake:
Bake for 15 minutes, then remove from the oven and top with mini marshmallows and crushed graham crackers (if using).
  5. Finish baking:
Return to the oven and bake for an additional 8–10 minutes, or until marshmallows are golden and puffy.
  6. Cool and slice:
Allow to cool completely in the pan before slicing into bars. For cleaner cuts, chill briefly in the fridge first.

💡 Tips

  • Use parchment paper for easy removal and clean slices.
  • Toast the marshmallows under the broiler for an extra golden finish (watch closely!).
  • Chill before slicing for neater bars.
  • Use a serrated knife and wipe between cuts for clean edges.

🔁 Variations & Substitutions

  • Add peanut butter chips or swirl in Nutella for a twist.
  • Use white chocolate or dark chocolate chips for a flavor change.
  • Make it extra gooey with a drizzle of melted chocolate on top.
  • Try a cookie dough crust instead of graham crackers for a s’mores-cookie mash-up!
