Ingredients (Serves 4)

For the Beef & Marinade:

  • 400g (14 oz) flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

For the Sauce:

  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey (or brown sugar)
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sriracha or chili flakes (optional for heat)
  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

For the Noodles & Stir-Fry:

  • 250g (9 oz) rice noodles or egg noodles
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 small carrot, julienned
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Fresh cilantro or basil (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Step 1: Marinate the Beef

  1. In a bowl, mix thinly sliced beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil.
  2. Let it marinate for at least 10 minutes while you prepare the other ingredients.

Step 2: Cook the Noodles

  1. Boil a large pot of water and cook the noodles according to package instructions.
  2. Drain and rinse under cold water to prevent sticking.

Step 3: Make the Sticky Sauce

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, sriracha, ginger, and garlic.
  2. Set aside for later.

Step 4: Stir-Fry the Beef

  1. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the marinated beef and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove from the pan and set aside.

Step 5: Cook the Vegetables

  1. In the same pan, add the red bell pepper and carrots. Stir-fry for 2 minutes until slightly softened.

Step 6: Combine Everything

  1. Return the cooked beef to the pan.
  2. Pour in the sticky sauce and stir until everything is coated.
  3. Add the cooked noodles and toss well to combine.

Step 7: Garnish & Serve

  1. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, green onions, and fresh cilantro.
  2. Serve immediately and enjoy!
