Sweet and Glazed Candied Carrots Recipe

Indulge in the perfect balance of tender carrots, buttery sweetness, and a hint of warm cinnamon. These candied carrots are a crowd-pleasing side dish that’s as easy to make as it is delicious!


Ingredients:

  • 1 lb carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the carrots: Slice peeled carrots into even rounds or sticks for consistent cooking.
  2. Cook the carrots: In a medium saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add carrots and cook for 5–7 minutes until slightly tender. Drain and set aside.
  3. Make the glaze: In the same saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt until a smooth glaze forms.
  4. Combine: Add the cooked carrots to the glaze, stirring gently to coat. Cook for 3–5 minutes until the carrots are fully tender and glossy.
  5. Serve: Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with fresh parsley or a sprinkle of cinnamon, if desired.
