Texas Trash Pie

This Caramel Pretzel Chocolate Chip Pie is a sweet and salty dessert that combines rich caramel, gooey chocolate, crunchy pretzels, and toasted coconut. With a buttery graham cracker crust and a simple, no-fuss filling, it’s the perfect dessert for any occasion!

Ingredients:

  • 1 frozen deep dish pie crust (9 or 10-inch)
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup pretzels (coarsely crushed)
  • 1 cup graham crackers (coarsely crushed)
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 3/4 cup pecan pieces
  • 1 cup Kraft caramel bits
  • 1/2 cup (8 tbsp.) butter (melted)
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and position the oven rack on the second-lowest spot.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter.
  3. Coarsely crush the pretzels and graham crackers into small pieces.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the chocolate chips, pretzels, graham crackers, shredded coconut, pecans, caramel bits, melted butter, and sweetened condensed milk. Stir until well combined.
  5. Pour the mixture into the frozen pie crust.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the pie is set and the top is golden brown. Check the pie around 25-30 minutes—if the top is getting too dark, cover with foil.
  7. Let the pie cool for 15 minutes before cutting and serving.

Total Time: 50 minutes
Yield: 8 to 10 servings

This pie is a delicious balance of sweet and salty, perfect for any celebration!
