The Best Chicken Salad

This Chicken Salad is creamy, flavorful, and packed with tender chicken, crunchy celery, juicy grapes, and a hint of fresh herbs. Perfect for sandwiches, wraps, or enjoying on its own, this easy recipe is great for meal prep or a quick lunch!


Ingredients (Serves 4-6)

  • 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • ½ cup mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt for a lighter option)
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ cup celery, finely chopped
  • ½ cup red grapes, halved
  • ¼ cup red onion, finely diced
  • ¼ cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley or dill, chopped
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (for extra freshness)

Instructions

Step 1: Prep the Ingredients

  1. Cook and shred or dice the chicken if not already prepared.
  2. Chop the celery, grapes, red onion, and herbs.

Step 2: Make the Dressing

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and lemon juice.

Step 3: Combine & Mix

  1. Add the chicken, celery, grapes, red onion, and nuts to the bowl.
  2. Stir everything together until well combined and coated in the dressing.

Step 4: Chill & Serve

  1. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes for the flavors to meld.
  2. Serve in sandwiches, wraps, lettuce cups, or with crackers. Enjoy!
